Paperwork
The paperwork was a very important part of the pre-production process as each of them is there to ensure that I am allowed to film in each of my locations (I have permission to do so from the owner of the land. As well as this, it also clearly states what you will need for shooting, who you will be shooting with, the risks that come with shooting and what you will do to avoid anyone getting hurt, etc.
The location release and scouting forms are important as is proves that I have permission to film on each of the premises that I planned on shooting at so that if there was an issue with staff whilst I was filming, I had those pieces of paperwork to back me up.
The equipment and personnel lists are important as this helps make sure I am organised for when I film this way there will be no forgotten items when we end up getting to the filming location.
The risk assessments are super important and must be completed before you begin filming as they outline the potential risks of what could happen when shooting and make a clear plan on how to avoid anything bad happening during this. Completing these forms can lower the risk of an accident occurring during filming and even though the main risks I would have during filming are small, it is still better to avoid them.
